Funtry Friday - for the birds!

Remember Peter Pigeon?

Well, here is his pretty girlfriend!

I think she needs a name. Pricilla? Patty? Pretty? What name do you think she should have?

Good morning to me! This little Meadowlark likes to perch in the Cottonwood tree and sing almost every morning!

It's a great start to my day!

Yes, the birds say it's spring!
The flowers also say it's spring - at least the daffodils at my sister's house do!

And the final definite sign of spring? Hershey is shedding his winter coat!

Hershey is much more accurate than any groundhog!

So here we go - blue skies and warmer weather. Come on springtime!

Happy Funtry Friday! Hope you are having some springtime fun in your neck of the woods!

Blessings,
Kathy

  1. I like Patty for a name. Beautiful song by your friend the meadowlark.

  2. I like Patty, too. How sweet of the meadowlark to serenade you every morning. I'm so ready for the number of crackles and red winged blackbirds to diminish. They drown out the chatty house finches. Spitting out horsehair?

    1. Fortunately our noisy birds sing at different times of the day than the more quiet ones. Well, except for the guineas who break into chorus every time they see me!

    1. Peter is a Passenger Pigeon and I think Patty is, too. There are several people in the area who raise them.
I love the Meadowlarks, too! Hope they show up wherever I move to, also!
Yes, we have had some lovely blue sky days around here lately - thanks to the spring winds that blow everything away!
