  2. That is a BIG bird! We agree with Hershey, birds shouldn't be that much work to chase! Sure is a lot of fun things going on in the country! That sweet little bunny made our mommy go "awwww" and us go "mmmmm"! :)

  3. How Fun. That last picture had me in awe, how can a bird build a nest on that narrow ledge and it stays?

    1. Thanks, Marlene! They are pretty amazing. The nest is actually from last year. Swallows will return to their nest if you leave it for them. The nest is made of mud and lined with feathers so it is kind of stuck on the little ledge. They aren't big birds, either, so the nest probably weighs more than they do.

    1. Thank you! I agree, Pam! We have all kinds of nests around here: chickens - anywhere will do, the killdeer - two sticks on the ground, the guineas - hide the eggs in the tumbleweeds, and the swallows - glue it to the wall! And, of course, the sparrows... lol

  5. My deer will share with the birds, but this one might be dining alone if it came to my backyard. Thanks for sharing another Funtry Friday!!

  11. So, is there some sort of hidden statement here with your horses - like spoiled or lazy or something? Or are they just smarter than the other horses? LOL!! I love the swallows - that is the only thing I miss about working in a high rise downtown - they used to play outside my window, catching updrafts from the different areas around the building, etc.

    1. Well, Hershey has seen everything and is senior horse, so I guess he is entitled to do whatever he wants to do! haha And Billie Jane is more interested in food than anything on the planet - which is kind of fun sometimes because she will do some really fun things for food. LOL
Oh - I bet that was fun! They look like they fly for the complete and total joy of flying! It's really fun here when a whole flock of them are dancing in the sky.
