clean, white, pristine, pure, blank sketch paper - just waiting!

Here it is - waiting for the first little pencil line to invade its clean, white surface!

Those first few lines will either create the beginning of a great drawing - or they will create some mighty fine recycling material. The skill and knowledge of the artist has a lot to do with the success of those first few marks, as well as the amount of planning that is done before the first pencil line is made.

Sometimes experimenting with unknown materials and techniques can be fun, but it can also create LOTS of decorative recycling scraps. That's fine if we are dealing with paper, but not if we are dealing with our lives. Each day of our lives is like a blank sheet of drawing paper. We can scribble all over it and then throw it away, or we can allow the Master to guide our hand and create a masterpiece.

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay,
and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Isaiah 64:8

Make today and everyday count! Let the Lord guide you as you paint your day - today and every day.

God bless,
